California woman arrested and charged with murdering her husband with a flagpole in Palm Desert

A 65-year-old California woman is accused of beating her husband to death with a flagpole. WABI reports that police found her husband dead at a home in Palm Desert on September 4. Vicky Kim was taken into custody and booked into jail following the discovery.
The case adds to a troubling pattern. Over the past year, prosecutors have filed five domestic violence cases against Kim, WAFF reports. In 2007, she was also charged with first-degree terroristic threatening after allegedly making a bomb threat at a Hawaii airport.
Officers responded to a Palm Desert home on September 4 and found Kim's husband dead, Fox10 reports. The cause of death was blunt force trauma allegedly inflicted by a flagpole. Kim was arrested at the scene and booked into jail to face murder charges.
This is not Kim's first brush with the law. WLBT reports that prosecutors have filed five domestic violence cases against her over the past year alone. The repeated filings suggest an escalating pattern of violent behavior in her household.
Kim's criminal past extends beyond recent years. In 2007, she faced a first-degree terroristic threatening charge after allegedly making a bomb threat at a Hawaii airport, AtlantaNewsFirst reports. That case reveals a long history of threatening behavior before the current murder accusation.
