Attendee Dies Following Medical Emergency at Burning Man Festival in Nevada

A man attending the annual Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert has died following a medical emergency at the event. The man, described as in his mid-50s, was transported to the onsite center for emergency care where he was pronounced deceased. The cause and manner of death have not been released. This death comes as the festival endured another year of weather issues, including rain temporarily closing a main gate to the grounds. The festival, celebrating its 40th year, kicked off on August 30 and is scheduled to continue through Sept. 7.
