Global Alpha Capital Boosts Euronet and Eagle Materials While Trimming Other Key Holdings

Global Alpha Capital Management has reshuffled its portfolio across several public companies, cutting stakes in Enersys and ACI Worldwide while increasing exposure to other holdings. The firm reduced its Enersys position by about 37% and its ACI Worldwide position by about 29%, even as most shares in both stocks remain largely held by institutions. It simultaneously boosted its stake in Eagle Materials by about 33%, adding tens of thousands of shares, and also initiated a new position in Certara by purchasing 172,700 shares. Global Alpha likewise increased its stake in Euronet Worldwide by about 74%, adding more than 100,000 shares, with analyst coverage spanning from bullish price targets to at least one sell-side downgrade. In its Enersys (ENS) trim, Global Alpha Capital Management reported owning 28,051 shares after selling 16,300 in the quarter; the stake was valued at about $4.116 million and represented a very small slice of the stock (0.08%), with 94.93% of ENS shares held by institutional investors.
For ACI Worldwide (ACIW), the firm cut its position to 662,783 shares after selling 272,486, and the holding was described as roughly 1.9% of Global Alpha’s portfolio (its 26th-largest position) and valued at about $31.688 million; the article also notes 94.73% of ACIW shares are held by institutions.
In building Eagle Materials (EXP), Global Alpha increased its stake to 192,746 shares after buying an additional 47,453; the article says EXP was about 2.4% of the portfolio (15th biggest holding) and valued at approximately $39.837 million, with 96.07% of EXP shares owned by hedge funds and other institutional investors.
Euronet Worldwide (EEFT) received a sharp analyst split alongside Global Alpha’s stake increase: Needham & Company reissued a “buy” with a $85.00 price target (May 22), while Weiss Ratings downgraded EEFT from a “hold (c-)” to a “sell (d+)” (April 2).
