Two Milligan University Students Killed, Seven Injured in Tennessee Cycling Crash

Two Milligan University sophomores, Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rogers, were killed and seven others injured when a car struck their cycling team on a training ride in Tennessee WSAW. The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on State Route 37 at Simerly Creek Road in the Hampton area of Carter County KY3. A 69-year-old North Carolina driver was arrested and is facing multiple counts of vehicle homicide by recklessness and aggravated assault by vehicle KCBD.
Seven cyclists were injured in the crash, with four in critical condition Fox5Vegas. Three others received treatment for injuries. Engdahl was from Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, while Rogers was from Huntsville, Alabama NY Post. Both were sophomores at the small Tennessee university.
Police arrested the 69-year-old driver shortly after the crash WDAM. He faces vehicle homicide by recklessness charges — a serious felony for deaths caused by dangerous driving. He also faces aggravated assault by vehicle charges for the seven injured cyclists Live5News.
