Tobias Financial Advisors Boosts Investment Stakes Across Five Major ETFs

The new Dimensional Short-Duration Fixed Income ETF position represented approximately 0.31% of the fund’s outstanding shares, according to Tobias Financial Advisors’ SEC filing.
Tobias ranked the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF as its 10th-largest holding, while the Dimensional US Large Cap Value ETF ranked ninth and the iShares MSCI Intl Quality Factor ETF ranked second in its portfolio.
The iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF was Tobias Financial Advisors’ 18th-largest holding after the increase, accounting for about 1.5% of its portfolio.
The filings show that other large institutions were also adjusting their exposure to these ETFs; for example, Bank of America increased its Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF position by 23.2% to more than 144.8 million shares during the first quarter.
As of the latest reporting, iShares MSCI Intl Quality Factor ETF had a market capitalization of about $14.21 billion, a price-to-earnings ratio of 18.86 and a beta of 0.83; its shares had traded between $43.17 and $52.36 over the prior 12 months.
Tobias Financial Advisors significantly expanded its ETF portfolio in the second quarter, increasing positions across five funds with a total allocation shift worth nearly $140 million. The firm's largest holding is the iShares MSCI Intl Quality Factor ETF, where it raised stakes by 3.3% to 1.06 million shares valued at $52.6 million, making up 6.4% of its portfolio watchlistnews.

The iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF saw the most dramatic increase, jumping 285.3% to 98,443 shares worth roughly $12.2 million watchlistnews. Despite the massive percentage gain, the fund ranked only 18th in Tobias' portfolio, accounting for about 1.5% of assets watchlistnews. This spike suggests the firm built from a small initial position rather than a massive reallocation.
