Apeiron RIA Boosts ETF Exposure in International, Value, and Treasury Bonds, Trims Aerospace

ACWX tracks the MSCI AC World ex USA index, capturing about 85% of publicly available international stocks by excluding small-caps; the ETF was launched on March 26, 2008 and is managed by BlackRock.
VLUE saw notable institutional activity beyond Apeiron's purchase in Q1, including Sound Income Strategies boosting holdings by 14.0% to 554 shares and sizable stakes added by Diversified Enterprises (3,236 shares), Financial Engines Advisors (3,383 shares), and Stokes Family Office (3,780 shares).
ITA: Apeiron cut its stake in the iShares U.S. Aerospace & Defense ETF by 67.4% in Q1, selling 7,217 shares and ending with 3,493 shares worth about $764,000.
GOVT: Apeiron opened a new 25,859-share position in the iShares U.S. Treasury Bond ETF (about $592,000). Other funds showed broad appetite for GOVT in Q1, including Arcadia Wealth Management boosting holdings by 97.8% to 562,027 shares (about $12.9 million).
Apeiron RIA LLC made a series of ETF moves in the first quarter, opening a fresh position in the iShares U.S. Treasury Bond ETF and reshaping its aerospace and defense exposure, according to Ticker Report and Watchlist News. The Virginia-based registered investment advisor now holds stakes across four ETFs — ACWX, VLUE, ITA, and GOVT — spanning international stocks, U.S. value equities, defense, and Treasury bonds.
The moves signal a broader diversification push. Apeiron spread roughly $2.9 million across the four funds, with individual positions ranging from about $592,000 in GOVT to $864,000 in VLUE.
The biggest new bet was in GOVT, the iShares U.S. Treasury Bond ETF. Apeiron opened a brand-new position of 25,859 shares, worth about $592,000, according to Ticker Report. GOVT gives investors exposure to short- and mid-duration U.S. government bonds. It is a common hedge when stock markets get volatile.
Apeiron was not alone. Arcadia Wealth Management nearly doubled its own GOVT holdings in Q1, boosting its stake by 97.8% to 562,027 shares — a position worth about $12.9 million. The broad appetite for Treasury ETFs suggests many advisors are adding a safety buffer to their portfolios.
Apeiron sharply reduced its bet on defense stocks. The firm sold 7,217 shares of ITA, the iShares U.S. Aerospace and Defense ETF, cutting its position by 67.4%. It ended the quarter with just 3,493 shares, valued at about $764,000, per Ticker Report.
ITA tracks U.S. companies that make aircraft, missiles, and defense systems. The large sell-off suggests Apeiron locked in gains or shifted risk away from a sector that saw big swings in early 2025 amid shifting defense spending debates.
Apeiron bought 10,480 shares of ACWX, worth about $718,000. ACWX tracks the MSCI AC World ex USA index. It covers roughly 85% of publicly available international stocks by leaving out small-cap names. BlackRock launched the fund on March 26, 2008. It gives U.S.-based investors easy access to markets in Europe, Asia, and beyond.
On the value side, Apeiron picked up 6,079 shares of VLUE, worth about $864,000. VLUE targets U.S. stocks that look cheap compared to their fundamentals. Other institutions also added to VLUE in Q1. Stokes Family Office added 3,780 shares, Financial Engines Advisors added 3,383 shares, and Diversified Enterprises added 3,236 shares, per Ticker Report.
The GOVT and ITA moves were not Apeiron's only Q1 activity. The firm also bought 19,474 shares of IFRA, the iShares U.S. Infrastructure ETF, worth $1,114,000, according to Watchlist News. That bet covers companies tied to roads, utilities, and water systems.
At the same time, Apeiron cut its position in the iShares MBS ETF by 42.3%, selling 9,647 shares and ending the quarter with 13,141 shares, per Ticker Report. MBS funds hold mortgage-backed securities. Trimming that exposure while adding Treasuries suggests Apeiron is moving toward safer, more liquid government debt.
