Elliotte Friedman and Kevin Bieksa Return to Revamped Sportsnet NHL Broadcasts

After protracted negotiations, Elliotte Friedman and Kevin Bieksa have agreed to return to Sportsnet's national broadcasts as part of the network's new 12-year, $11 billion deal. The pair had their Rogers contracts expired on Aug. 31, but a deal was reached in time to complete preparations for the season. Despite initially seeking to work on Amazon broadcasts as a supplement to his Sportsnet work, this was reportedly a stumbling block. The new deal allows both Friedman and Bieksas to be part of a revamped crew for the revamped Rogers NHL coverage, which will include Ron MacLean and Colby Armstrong.
