70-Year-Old Highland Township Man Dies in Accidental Duck Lake Drowning After Dock Fall

Around 8:47 p.m., deputies say a man fell from his private dock on the 3000 block of Ramada Drive and did not resurface, with his wife witnessing the fall and calling for help.
First responders found him 'submerged in the water between the dock and his boat' and pulled him to shore, where CPR and lifesaving measures were started.
Autopsy performed Wednesday morning by the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be accidental drowning.
This was the third drowning in Oakland County recently; other victims include 19-year-old Jauwan Walter Hayes, Jr. in Pine Lake on Aug. 9 and 46-year-old Peter 'PJ' Amato in Wixom's Child’s Lake.

Doctors at Huron Valley Hospital pronounced Carter dead upon arrival Detroit Free Press. An autopsy was performed Wednesday morning by the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office. The examination confirmed the cause of death was accidental drowning WHMI. No foul play was suspected in the incident.
Carter's death marks the third drowning in Oakland County in just over a month Patch. A 19-year-old named Jauwan Walter Hayes, Jr. drowned in Pine Lake on August 9.
