Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Demands Immediate Removal Of Chief Election Commissioner Over Voter Rolls

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge called for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s immediate removal, accusing him of favoring the ruling BJP and alleging irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of voter rolls. He also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resign on moral grounds, alleging pressure on the election chief, and said Congress would take the dispute to Parliament and the streets. Kharge demanded publication of data on roll changes, timely access to rolls for all parties, an opportunity for deleted voters to appeal, independent time-bound inquiries into serious discrepancies, and greater transparency in the electoral process.
