High Point Rowers Join Over 1,100 Nationally Honored as CRCA Scholar-Athletes
The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association announced its 2026 Scholar-Athlete honorees in women’s collegiate rowing, recognizing 1,174 student-athletes nationwide for combining strong academics with on-water performance. High Point, Clemson, and Iowa each placed seven, seven, and eight rowers, respectively, on the list, with the awards going to athletes who meet eligibility requirements including a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, sophomore-or-higher status as applicable, and participation in at least 75% of spring races in NCAA or IRA-eligible boats. The organization also cited broad academic excellence among the honorees, including an average GPA above 3.59 and dozens of perfect 4.0s. In a separate but related CRCA announcement, the ACC led all conferences with 17 women’s rowing selections to the CRCA All-America list, including multiple first-team entries from programs that performed strongly at the 2026 NCAA Rowing Championships.
