Tyler Cameron and Tate Madden Confirm Engagement After Beach Proposal in Florida Keys

Tate Madden revealed on the Trading Secrets podcast (Nov. 2024) that she and Tyler Cameron had actually met several times before their relationship became romantic, including the moment she says he didn’t remember who she was: “Turns out he didn’t know who I was.”
The couple has openly discussed marriage plans on their YouTube series, with Cameron coyly saying it would happen “soon” and noting they had talked about ring shopping.
Madden had previously denied dating Cameron in December 2022, telling TikTok followers, “We are not dating,” and explaining that she actually worked for him at the time.
For the engagement photos, Cameron wore white pants with a striped button-down, while Madden wore a floral-patterned white sundress during the beach proposal.
Beyond Colton Underwood and JoJo Fletcher, Justin Glaze publicly congratulated the couple in the engagement announcement comments.
Tyler Cameron is engaged. The former *Bachelorette* star proposed to model and photographer Tate Madden on a beach at Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys, the couple announced on Instagram on August 15, 2026. Cameron's caption said it all: "Better late than never." Charlotte Observer reported the news alongside intimate proposal photos showing the couple on the sand.
The engagement caps roughly two years of dating — a relationship the pair worked hard to keep quiet. Cameron previously said he wanted to keep things private to avoid public judgment and make sure the relationship was on solid ground before going public.
Cameron got down on one knee at Little Palm Island, a private resort in the Florida Keys. The Olympian reported the couple shared the moment through intimate photos on Instagram. Cameron wore white pants and a striped button-down. Madden wore a floral white sundress. The images quickly spread across social media.
The couple dated for about two years before the proposal. They had discussed marriage openly on their YouTube series, where Cameron told viewers the proposal would happen "soon" and mentioned they had already talked about ring shopping. The announcement drew congratulations from Bachelor Nation alumni, including Colton Underwood, JoJo Fletcher, and Justin Glaze.
The road to the proposal started with some confusion — and a denial. In December 2022, Madden told her TikTok followers directly: "We are not dating." She explained she actually worked for Cameron at the time. The two had crossed paths before then, but romance was not yet in the picture.
Madden later opened up about their early history on the Trading Secrets podcast in November 2024. She recalled a moment when Cameron simply did not recognize her, saying, "Turns out he didn't know who I was." The couple eventually confirmed their relationship publicly in 2024, after meeting through mutual friends in Florida.
Cameron rose to fame on Season 15 of *The Bachelorette* in 2019. He finished as runner-up and later briefly dated supermodel Gigi Hadid. The Sun framed the engagement news partly through that lens, with its headline calling him "Gigi Hadid's ex." That public history put early pressure on his relationship with Madden.
Cameron has said the scrutiny is exactly why he wanted to keep things private at first. By going slow and staying out of the spotlight, the couple built what they described as a strong foundation. The proposal marks a clear shift — from quietly dating to publicly committing to a future together.
