Couple married for 73 years tragically die within hours of each other

Couple Carol and JoAnn VanZandt, who were married for 73 years, died within hours of each other. After Carol died of natural causes on August 29, her 88-year-old wife died less than 12 hours later. The couple, who had three children, were identified as "Papa Carol and Mama Jo" with five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandparents. The family credits their partnership to their love and a way of life. The VanZantts were laid to rest on Thursday.
