Responding Police Officers Discover Wild Bobcat Inside Washington Home Instead of Burglar

A homeowner in Moss Bay, Washington, reported a suspected burglary when responding police officers found a wild bobcat inside her home. The Kirkland Police Department used an unmanned aircraft to monitor the animal's movements inside the home and corralled it. Once contained in an isolated room, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife sedated it and released it near the natural habitat where it was found. No one was injured during the incident. Police believe the bobcat most likely entered the residence by climbing a tree and jumping through an open window. According to Washington Fish and Welfare, bobcats are found throughout Washington state and are more common than most people realize.
