BizLink Acquires Interplex Datacom for $900M, Expanding AI and Data Center Solutions

Interplex Datacom reported total revenue of $392 million for the period ending March 31, 2026, according to BizLink’s deal announcement materials.
BizLink CEO Felix Teng said at a briefing in Taipei that the $850 million cash purchase (plus up to $50 million earn-out) is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
TheNextWeb reports BizLink is a partner of Nvidia and already supplies interconnect solutions for data centers, servers, and AI hardware; acquiring Interplex Datacom also gives BizLink access to Interplex’s customer base across networking enclosures, servers, disk drives, wearables, and mobile devices.
Blackstone acquired all of Interplex from Baring Private Equity Asia in 2022 for $1.6 billion, framing the sale of only the ICT unit at $850 million (plus up to $50 million earn-out) as a partial but sizable recovery relative to its initial investment.
Bloomberg reported in January that Blackstone was exploring a sale of the ICT unit at a valuation above $1 billion; TheNextWeb says the final $850 million price implies a discount of roughly 15% versus that initial asking range.
Taiwan's BizLink Holding has agreed to buy Interplex Datacom from Blackstone-backed Ennovi in an all-cash deal worth up to $900 million — $850 million upfront plus up to $50 million in performance-based earn-out payments. MarketScreener reports the deal will be funded through a mix of cash on hand and committed debt financing from Citigroup, with closing expected in the second half of 2026.
The acquisition gives BizLink — already an Nvidia partner — direct access to Interplex Datacom's factories and customer base in AI server and data center hardware. Interplex Datacom reported $392 million in revenue for the 12 months ending March 31, 2026, putting the deal at roughly 2.2 times annual sales, Electronics For You noted.
BizLink CEO Felix Teng called the deal a chance to build a "one-stop shop" for AI infrastructure. The company already makes the cables and connectors that run inside data centers. By adding Interplex Datacom, it gets the metal enclosures, busbars, and server rack components that hold and power those cables. Chairman Roger Liang called it a "pivotal moment" to meet demand from high-performance computing clients, according to Taipei Times.
Interplex Datacom employs more than 1,900 workers across factories in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand. That Southeast Asian footprint matters. US tech giants like Amazon, Google, and Meta are actively looking to move supply chains outside China. BizLink now has the manufacturing base to serve them, DealStreetAsia reported.
Blackstone bought all of Interplex from Baring Private Equity Asia in January 2022 for $1.6 billion. It later split the business in two — spinning off the electric vehicle parts into a new brand called Ennovi, and keeping the data center unit as Interplex Datacom. Bloomberg reported in January 2026 that Blackstone was seeking more than $1 billion for the ICT unit.
The final $850 million base price came in roughly 15% below that target, according to TheNextWeb. Still, selling just one division for up to $900 million means Blackstone has recovered more than half of its original $1.6 billion investment from a single asset. J.P. Morgan served as Blackstone's financial advisor on the sale.
BizLink shares had already surged 42% year-to-date before the deal was announced. The company's market value stood at $13.3 billion at the time of the announcement, according to Taipei Times. Investors have been rewarding companies with direct ties to AI hardware buildouts, and BizLink fits that profile as an established Nvidia supplier.
But analysts at Finimize flagged a risk. Because the deal is partly debt-funded, BizLink needs Interplex Datacom's $392 million in revenue to convert into steady operating cash flow. If AI data center spending slows, BizLink — now more dependent on server rack hardware — could feel the pinch faster than before.
The deal includes up to $50 million in contingent consideration — money BizLink pays only if Interplex Datacom hits certain performance targets after closing. That earn-out clause is worth watching. If Interplex hits its milestones, it confirms that AI hardware demand remains strong through 2026 and beyond.
If Blackstone walks away without that extra $50 million, it would suggest the current wave of data center spending is cooling off. DealStreetAsia noted this is one of the few major Southeast Asian M&A exits this year, calling it a sign that AI-linked hardware assets still attract buyers even as the broader buyout market struggles to close deals.
