E.P. Taylor Stakes Victory

Gimme a Nother secures her first North American Grade 1 win in the E.P. Taylor Stakes.

Gimme a Nother (SAF) won her first Grade 1 triumph in North America in the $750,000 E. P. Taylor Stakes at Woodbine. The Graham Motion-trained 6-year-old mare, which is multiple Grade 1 winners in South Africa and has won seven races under trainer Michael de Kock in the United States, won the Grade 2 Beverly D. last out Aug. 1 at Colonial Downs. The win was the fourth straight for Gimme a nother, following wins in the Grade C Mabee at Del Mar, the Grade 3 Eatontown at Monmouth and the Grade 1 Beverly D race. Hall of Famer rider John Velazquez won the E.P. Taylor on four other occasions.
