Paradiem LLC Actively Rebalances Holdings, Trimming Black Hills While Adding New AMD and ADP Stakes

Black Hills makes up 3.4% of Paradiem's investment portfolio and ranks as the 6th biggest holding, with 224,868 shares worth about $15.6 million after Paradiem sold 9,819 shares in the quarter.
EVP Mark D. Papermaster sold 31,320 AMD shares on April 24 at an average price of $350.00, reducing his AMD stake by about 2.47% and leaving him with 1,236,037 shares valued at roughly $432.6 million; the transaction was executed under a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plan.
PACCAR is Paradiem's 18th biggest holding, after a 4,338-share reduction to 109,870 shares; the position represents about 2.8% of Paradiem's portfolio and was worth about $12.69 million at the end of the last quarter.
Paradiem opened a new stake in Automatic Data Processing (ADP) with 15,962 shares worth approximately $3.243 million; the stock is heavily owned by hedge funds (about 80.03% of shares), highlighting its status as a widely held name among institutions.
Paradiem LLC made a series of quiet but pointed portfolio moves in the first quarter, trimming its Black Hills Corporation stake by 4.2% while opening fresh positions in Advanced Micro Devices and Automatic Data Processing, according to Watchlist News and Ticker Report.
The adjustments span four sectors — utilities, semiconductors, autos, and business services — signaling a deliberate, diversified reallocation rather than a single big bet.
Paradiem sold 9,819 shares of Black Hills Corporation during Q1, leaving it with 224,868 shares worth about $15.6 million, according to Watchlist News. The utility stock now makes up 3.4% of the firm's portfolio and ranks as its sixth-largest holding.
The 4.2% reduction is modest, not a full exit. Black Hills remains a top-ten position. The trim suggests measured profit-taking rather than a loss of conviction in the stock.
Paradiem initiated a fresh position in Advanced Micro Devices, buying 1,496 shares for roughly $304,000, per Ticker Report. The move comes as AMD insiders head in the opposite direction.
EVP Mark D. Papermaster sold 31,320 AMD shares on April 24 at an average price of $350.00 each. That cut his stake by about 2.47%, leaving him with 1,236,037 shares worth roughly $432.6 million. The sale was made under a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 plan — a legal trading schedule set up in advance to avoid insider trading concerns.
Paradiem also cut its PACCAR holdings by 4,338 shares, or 3.8%, down to 109,870 shares, according to Ticker Report. The truck-maker position is now the firm's 18th-largest holding, worth about $12.69 million and representing 2.8% of the portfolio.
At the same time, Paradiem opened a brand-new stake in Automatic Data Processing. It bought 15,962 ADP shares worth approximately $3.24 million. ADP is a widely held institutional name — hedge funds own about 80.03% of its shares outstanding.
The Black Hills and PACCAR trims were not Paradiem's sharpest moves of the quarter. The firm slashed its Qualcomm stake by 66.9%, selling 55,867 shares and cutting its position down to just 27,676 shares worth $3.56 million, per Ticker Report. It also sold 4,015 Lockheed Martin shares, reducing that holding by 12.6% to 27,782 shares.
Paradiem also cut SS&C Technologies by 55.5%, dropping to 64,119 shares, while adding a new stake in Colgate-Palmolive — 154,940 shares worth $13.2 million, or 2.9% of its portfolio. Taken together, the quarter looks like an active reshuffling across nearly every major sector.
