A federal lawsuit is seeking to halt the upcoming UFC fight card on the White House South Lawn for President Donald Trump's 80th birthday and part of the celebration of the nation's 250th anniversary. The Public Integrity Project, on behalf of two Virginia residents, alleges that the Trump administration's authorization of the June 14 event violated National Park Service regulations and Congress did not consent to the towering arch overlooking the event space. The lawsuit also alleges that no environmental review was conducted prior to the construction. The White House responded by calling the legal challenge an attempt to prevent the event from occurring.
