Digi Power X Progresses AI Data Center Campus Construction, Secures Equipment, Reports Strong Financials

Construction milestones indicate a shift to vertical build: crews are erecting the building shell as the project moves from site and civil work to vertical construction.
All major long-lead items for Phase 1 are secured, explicitly including electrical and switchgear infrastructure, which mitigates scheduling risk for the in-service timeline.
NeoCloudz is operating on a live NVIDIA GPU fleet (B200 and B300) and has generated its first AI-related revenues in the most recent quarter.
Digi Power X is a major shareholder in US Data Centers Inc., highlighting strategic alignment and potential corporate synergies.
The ARMS 200 modular data center unit has been operating at Tier 3 standards at the Alabama facility since May 15, 2026, and has generated AI-related revenues as part of Digi Power X’s broader Tier 3 infrastructure push.
Digi Power X is on track to open its purpose-built AI data center campus in Columbiana, Alabama, with Phase 1 ready for service in December 2026 and Phase 2 by the end of the first fiscal quarter of 2027, according to TipRanks. The company reported roughly $155 million in cash as of July 3, 2026, about $95 million already spent on construction this year, and zero long-term debt — a self-funded approach that sets it apart from many peers.
Construction has moved into vertical build, meaning crews are now erecting the building shell above ground. All major long-lead equipment for Phase 1 — including electrical and switchgear infrastructure — has been secured, cutting the risk of delays, Baystreet reported.
The shift from site and civil work to vertical construction is a key milestone. It means the physical structure of the data center is now rising. All critical equipment — the kind that takes months to order and deliver — is already secured for Phase 1, according to TipRanks. That removes one of the biggest risks on any large construction project.
Phase 2 is set to follow closely, with a target completion by the end of Q1 2027. The back-to-back timeline suggests the company is moving fast to get the full campus online and generating revenue, Baystreet noted.
Digi Power X did not wait for the campus to open to start making money from AI. Its NeoCloudz platform — a GPU-as-a-Service offering, meaning customers rent graphics processing power over the cloud — is already live. It ran on NVIDIA B200 and B300 GPUs and generated its first AI-related revenues in Q2 2026, according to Investing.com.
To scale NeoCloudz further, the company plans to open a Silicon Valley office by August 2026 and build a dedicated engineering team. Silicon Valley is home to many of the AI startups and enterprise customers the platform would target.
Alongside the main campus build, Digi Power X deployed its ARMS 200 modular data center unit at the Alabama site. It has been running at Tier 3 standards — a reliability benchmark used in the data center industry — since May 15, 2026. The unit has already contributed AI-related revenues, Baystreet reported.
Tier 3 means the facility can handle maintenance without shutting down, offering 99.982% uptime. For AI customers running sensitive workloads, that level of reliability matters.
Management set a 2027 annualized revenue run rate of $250 million to $300 million. That target spans three streams: AI colocation, NeoCloudz growth, and energy sales. As of July 3, 2026, the company held about $155 million in cash and had spent roughly $95 million year-to-date on capital expenditures in Alabama, according to Investing.com.
To fund the rest of the buildout without diluting shareholders, Digi Power X is pursuing non-dilutive debt financing. The company is also a major shareholder in US Data Centers Inc., a stake that could open further strategic doors as its campus scales up, MarketScreener noted.
