Shane Lowry Breaks Irish Open Record With a Dominant Eleven-Shot Victory

Shane Lowry broke the Irish Open record with an 11-shot victory over Patrick Reed and JoaquĆn Niemann. The home crowd and U.S. President Donald Trump were in attendance, with Lowry finishing at 23-under 257, seven shots better than the previous 72-hole record of 264 by Jon Rahm. This is Lowry's second win at the Irish open, after winning 17 years ago as an amateur. Since his first Irish Open victory, Lowry has also won the Open Championship at Royal Portrush in 2019 and scored the winning putt for Europe in the Ryder Cup.
