LEGO Unveils New SpongeBob SquarePants Sets, Including Large Bikini Bottom Build; Preorder Now

This LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants release would mark the first SpongeBob LEGO set since 2012, signaling a long-awaited revival of the license.
The Conch Street set is described as notably larger in scale, reportedly featuring roughly four times as many bricks as LEGO’s last Bikini Bottom builds.
SpongeBob’s pineapple home is stated to sit at 124 Conch Street, anchoring the set to a specific in-show location rather than a generic Bikini Bottom.
A fun tie-in detail notes that SpongeBob’s driver’s license in an episode lists July 14, 1986 as his birth date, a fact highlighted in the reveal.
LEGO is returning to Bikini Bottom for the first time in over a decade. The toy company has unveiled two new SpongeBob SquarePants sets, with preorders now live on LEGO.com ahead of a September 1, 2026 release date. IGN reported that the flagship set carries a $219.99 price tag and is built from 1,794 pieces.
The last LEGO SpongeBob sets hit shelves in 2012, making this revival a long-awaited comeback for fans of both the toy line and the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon. Modern Notoriety called the new Bikini Bottom build a major return for the license, noting it roughly quadruples the brick count of LEGO's last SpongeBob builds.
The flagship set is officially called LEGO Icons SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom (set number 11386). It recreates the full Conch Street block in one build. That means SpongeBob's iconic pineapple home, Patrick's rock, and Squidward's Easter Island-style house all sit side by side. Modern Notoriety noted the set also includes Jellyfish Fields and the Boatmobile.
Four minifigures come in the box: SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Gary the snail. A fun detail ties the set to the show — SpongeBob's pineapple sits at 124 Conch Street, the exact address used in the cartoon. The Brick Fan confirmed the set is already available for preorder directly through LEGO.com.
LEGO is also releasing a smaller companion set alongside the big build. Priced at just $12.99, the SpongeBob SquarePants Figure set gives fans a more affordable entry point. IGN reported it also launches on September 1, 2026. Both sets are available to preorder right now at the same time.
The smaller set is described as a BrickHeadz-style SpongeBob figure. It gives casual fans or younger buyers a way to join in without spending $220. The two-set strategy — one premium, one budget — mirrors how LEGO has handled other major IP relaunches in recent years.
LEGO is offering region-specific gifts with purchase for early orders. The promotional window runs until mid-July, so fans who move fast get something extra. Head Topics noted the UK price lands at £190, reflecting the set's premium adult-collector positioning in international markets.
There is also a hidden nod to the show baked into the reveal. SpongeBob's driver's license in one episode lists his birthday as July 14, 1986. LEGO and promotional coverage highlighted that date as a fun Easter egg connecting the real-world launch window to SpongeBob lore. Kotaku noted the set is the first from LEGO tied to the franchise since around 2009 by some counts.
SpongeBob SquarePants remains one of the most popular animated franchises in the world. LEGO walking away from the license in 2012 left a gap that fans never stopped asking about. The new set's 1,794-piece count and $219.99 price put it firmly in LEGO's Icons line — aimed at adult collectors, not just kids.
Modern Notoriety summed up the mood simply: the new Bikini Bottom set "lets you build SpongeBob's entire neighborhood." That scale is the point. LEGO is not easing back into the license with a small set. It is making a statement with one of its biggest theme builds of 2026.
