Corporate Travel Management Permanently Appoints Ana Pedersen as CEO for Long-Term Growth

CTM's share price remained unchanged at $16.07 on the day of Ana Pedersen's permanent appointment.
The incentive package for the new CEO includes both short- and long-term performance targets, with a potential total up to $2.7 million for the financial year.
Jamie Pherous, CTM's founder, had been acting as a consultant since February, earning about $675,000 per year, with that consultancy ending in August.
Ana Pedersen holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW.
Days before the appointment, CTM's company secretary and group chief legal officer Shelley Sorrenson resigned.
Corporate Travel Management (ASX:CTD) has made Ana Pedersen its permanent managing director and group CEO, effective July 23, 2026, according to Finnewsnetwork. Pedersen had been serving as acting CEO since February 2, stepping in after founder Jamie Pherous resigned.
CTM's share price held steady at $16.07 on the day of the announcement. The appointment caps a turbulent stretch for the ASX-listed travel management company, which is now pushing hard to stabilize its leadership team and rebuild momentum, Kalkine reported.
Pedersen joined CTM in October 2024 as Global Chief Commercial Officer. She brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate travel, hospitality, and technology. Her past roles include senior positions at BCD Travel and HRS Group, according to Grafa.
Board chairman Ewen Crouch expressed strong confidence in her leadership. He said she is well placed to position CTM for long-term success. Pedersen holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW, Sharecafe noted.
Pedersen's pay package includes a base salary of $1.2 million per year. On top of that, she can earn up to $2.7 million in incentives for the financial year, according to Finnewsnetwork. The incentive package includes both short- and long-term performance targets.
The pay deal signals the board's intent to attract and keep top talent as CTM fights to recover. The company is focused on client delivery and supporting its staff through the transition, Sharecafe reported.
Pherous resigned as CEO in February 2026 after leading CTM since he founded the company. He stayed on as a consultant, earning around $675,000 per year. That consultancy arrangement is set to end in August 2026, according to Kalkine.
The transition marks a clean break from the founder-led era. CTM is now betting on a new generation of leadership to drive its recovery on the ASX, Grafa reported.
Just days before Pedersen's permanent appointment was confirmed, CTM's company secretary and group chief legal officer Shelley Sorrenson resigned. The back-to-back departures point to a broader leadership reset at the firm, according to Servicedapartmentnews.
CTM has described the current period as one of navigating challenges. The board is counting on Pedersen's commercial background to steady the ship, restore client confidence, and set a clear path forward for the business, Finnewsnetwork noted.
