Chuangxin, Sany, SBI Shinsei, and Castings Secure FTSE Index Inclusion Using Composite Rating.

Chuangxin Industries Holdings Limited (SEHK: 2788) was added to the FTSE All World Index; the announcement describes the composite rating as an average of rankings across Returns (Composite), Profitability (Composite), Quality of Financial Reporting (Composite), and Financial Health (Composite).
Sany Heavy Industry Co. Ltd (SEHK: 6031) was added to the FTSE All World Index, with the methodology stated as a ranking-average across Returns, Profitability, Quality of Financial Reporting and Financial Health (all shown as “Composite” categories in the note).
SBI Shinsei Bank Limited (TSE: 8303) was added to the FTSE All World Index; the note repeats that the composite framework is based on ranking averages across the stated composite categories before index inclusion.
Castings P L C (LSE: CGS) was added to the FTSE All Share Index; the company-specific announcement includes the same composite-score framework used to rank firms ahead of inclusion.
The requirement for the calculation to proceed is tied specifically to coverage across “at least 2 of these 3 ratings” (Returns (Composite), Profitability (Composite), and Quality of Financial Reporting (Composite)); Financial Health (Composite) is listed as part of the ranking-average framework, but the coverage threshold is described only for the three core ratings.
Four companies officially joined major FTSE equity indexes on June 22, 2026. Chuangxin Industries Holdings (SEHK: 2788), Sany Heavy Industry (SEHK: 6031), and SBI Shinsei Bank (TSE: 8303) all entered the FTSE All-World Index, while Castings PLC (LSE: CGS) was added to the FTSE All-Share Index, according to MarketScreener.
The additions became effective at the start of trading after a June 19 market-close rebalancing, where passive funds began shifting capital to match the new index weights, LSEG reported.
FTSE Russell uses a four-part composite score to rank companies before index inclusion. The score averages rankings across Returns, Profitability, Quality of Financial Reporting, and Financial Health — all measured as composite categories, per MarketScreener.
There is one key rule: a company must have data covering at least two of three core pillars — Returns, Profitability, and Quality of Financial Reporting — for the calculation to run. Financial Health is part of the ranking average but does not count toward that minimum threshold.
Sany Heavy Industry only became eligible for the FTSE All-World because of its October 28, 2025 Hong Kong IPO. The company raised $759 million from cornerstone investors including Temasek and BlackRock at HKD 21.30 per share, according to Yahoo Finance.
The Hong Kong listing created the "A+H" dual-listing structure that gave global index providers access to Sany for the first time. Rotating Chairman Xiang Wenbo called the move a sign of "the capital market's strong confidence in Sany's high-quality development." The stock now sits in portfolios alongside Caterpillar and Komatsu at funds run by Vanguard and BlackRock, per Hargreaves Lansdown.
SBI Shinsei Bank trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 11.6x, roughly 7.2% below its estimated fair value of ¥1,605. Its profit attributable to owners jumped 34% in the most recent fiscal year, according to Investing.com.
Analysts at Simply Wall St flagged that long-term shareholder returns remain "deeply negative," raising concerns that the index inclusion could be a value trap for passive investors. Still, the bank's high dividend payout of 26.1% and its move into tokenized deposits and XRP crypto rewards drove its Profitability composite score high enough for inclusion.
Castings PLC, the British foundry company with a market cap of roughly £117 million, was added to the FTSE All-Share Index. UK analysts describe the move as a "resilience play" after Castings kept its Return on Invested Capital above 10% for three straight years from 2023 to 2025, per Fidelity.
Estimates suggest FTSE All-World inclusion alone can trigger passive inflows worth 3% to 5% of a company's free-float market cap within the first 48 hours of effective trading, according to Elite Wealth Ltd. For smaller additions like Castings, the All-Share listing delivers a similar boost in visibility and institutional access.
