Meeder Asset Management increases holdings in Diamondback, TJX, and other major stocks.

In Diamondback Energy, Meeder's 355.3% increase is accompanied by notable action from other big investors: Boston Partners now holds 5,733,538 shares (+163,548); Geode Capital Management 5,621,120 (+14,625); Bank of New York Mellon Corp 5,159,365 (+532,756); Capital Research Global Investors 4,332,885 (+534,073); and Morgan Stanley 3,828,941 (+117,798).
Norges Bank bought a new stake in TJX during the fourth quarter, a move that signals continued institutional appetite for the retailer; the stake is valued at about $2.21 billion.
A Progressive director sold shares: Jeffrey D. Kelly disposed of 7,000 PGR shares on June 24, reducing his direct holdings by about 23.69% in a disclosed transaction.
Analyst commentary on CVS Health remains upbeat, with Baird lifting its target to 94, Piper Sandler reiterating an overweight rating with a 113 target, and Argus boosting its target to 104 while labeling the stock a Buy.
Dublin, Ohio-based Meeder Asset Management made a series of bold portfolio moves in the first quarter of 2026, sharply boosting stakes across five major U.S. stocks. The firm's biggest bet was on Diamondback Energy, where it added 22,862 shares — a 355.3% jump — bringing that position's value to about $5.8 million, according to Ticker Report.
The moves came even as Meeder's total portfolio shrank from $1.86 billion to $1.75 billion during the quarter. The firm offset that overall dip by concentrating capital in retailers, insurers, energy producers, and healthcare stocks.
Meeder's largest holding among its new additions is The TJX Companies. The firm now owns 113,807 shares worth about $18.2 million — a 37.3% increase from the prior quarter, according to Watchlist News. TJX also drew a massive new bet from Norway's sovereign wealth fund, Norges Bank, which entered the stock in Q4 2025 with a position worth roughly $2.21 billion.
In energy, Meeder's Diamondback Energy stake now totals 29,296 shares. Other institutional giants piled in too. Bank of New York Mellon added 532,756 shares to reach 5.16 million total. Capital Research Global Investors added 534,073 shares, bringing its count to 4.33 million. Wall Street's consensus on Diamondback is a strong "Buy," with an average price target of $219.53.
While institutions rushed in, company insiders rushed out. Diamondback Energy Director Charles Alvin Meloy sold 83,334 shares on June 16 at an average price of $187.12, netting over $15.59 million. That reduced his direct stake by nearly 9%. At Progressive Corp, Director Jeffrey D. Kelly sold 7,000 shares on June 24 at $216.33 each, totaling $1.51 million — cutting his direct holdings by about 23.69%.
Meeder had boosted its own Progressive stake by 22.9%, to 14,882 shares worth about $2.95 million. Analysts often call such insider sales routine liquidity events. But some retail investors read them as a warning sign that a stock may be near a short-term peak.
Meeder added 16.5% more CVS Health shares, reaching 65,603 shares worth about $4.7 million. Analyst opinion on CVS is broadly upbeat. Baird raised its price target to $94, citing CVS's rollout of smaller, pharmacy-only store formats. Piper Sandler held its Overweight rating with a $113 target. Argus bumped its target to $104 and labeled the stock a Buy.
Not everyone is convinced. Some analysts warn that CVS could be a "value trap." The company recently settled a multi-state insulin overbilling case for $36.5 million. On top of that, states like Tennessee and Arkansas are pushing laws that could restrict pharmacy benefit managers — a key part of CVS's business model.
Meeder also grew its Sun Communities stake by 45.3%, to 97,715 shares valued at about $12.3 million. Sun Communities is a real estate investment trust focused on manufactured housing — a segment seeing strong demand. The company posted 8% year-over-year revenue growth, even though it missed its Q1 earnings-per-share target.
The move fits a broader institutional trend. As home prices stay high, affordable housing assets are drawing more capital. Dimensional Fund Advisors already holds 1.81 million shares in Sun Communities. Meeder's buy suggests it sees a long runway for rental demand in this niche corner of real estate, according to Watchlist News.
