Actor Akshaye Khanna Buys Luxury Malabar Hill Apartment For Rs 33 Crore

Actor Akshaye Khanna bought a luxury apartment at 30 Little Gibbs in Mumbai’s Malabar Hill for Rs 33.26 crore in a transaction registered in September 2026. The home has 2,341.39 square feet of carpet area, plus a 175.45-square-foot balcony, and includes three parking spaces. Property documents show stamp duty of Rs 1.99 crore and registration charges of Rs 30,000; the price works out to about Rs 1.42 lakh per square foot based on carpet area. Malabar Hill is a sought-after South Mumbai neighborhood with limited premium housing and proximity to business districts and local landmarks.
Square Yards data cited by Business Standard puts Malabar Hill’s average asking price at about Rs 85,200 per sq ft and its average registered rate at about Rs 69,500 per sq ft for October 2025 to September 2026. The article cautions these locality-wide figures are not directly comparable with Khanna’s luxury purchase, since building, floor, specifications, views and amenities can affect pricing.
The building has seen other high-value sales: public records cited by Business Standard show an apartment with the same 2,341.39-square-foot carpet area on the 15th floor registered for Rs 31.93 crore in January 2026, while similarly sized apartments sold for Rs 30 crore each in June 2025.
Hindustan Times reported that Khanna could not be reached for comment about the purchase.
