BlackRock Investment Trusts Release Unaudited NAVs, Detail Valuation Methods for Holdings

BlackRock Smaller Companies Trust PLC’s published NAVs were presented in four distinct combinations: capital-only NAV of **1,428.96p** with debt at **par value** versus **1,484.26p** with debt at **fair value**; and NAV including current year income of **1,444.42p** (par) versus **1,499.72p** (fair).
In its NAV release, BlackRock Smaller Companies Trust PLC added an operational note on where to find additional BlackRock investment trust information, directing readers to **BLRKINDEX on Reuters** or **page 8800 on ICB** for the daily NAV, previous month-end performance statistics, asset allocation, and the ten largest holdings.
BlackRock Latin American Investment Trust PLC’s NAV figures were explicitly published in **both US cents and pence sterling** (587.09c/593.75c and 443.73p/448.76p), alongside a reminder that investments were valued on a bid price basis and that dividends payable were deducted on the **ex-dividend date**.
BlackRock Income and Growth Investment Trust PLC specified that its exception to bid-price valuation applied because the holding in **Patisserie Valerie** had been **“written down to nil following confirmation the company has gone into administration.”**
Five BlackRock-managed investment trusts published unaudited net asset value figures as of the close of business on June 19, 2026, giving UK investors a fresh snapshot of their holdings. The disclosures used a consistent bid-price valuation method across all trusts, with dividends deducted on the ex-dividend date BlackRock RNS.
The reports cover trusts ranging from UK small-cap equities to Latin American and frontier markets. One trust flagged a notable exception: its stake in collapsed bakery chain Patisserie Valerie has been written down to zero.
BlackRock Smaller Companies Trust PLC published NAVs in four combinations depending on how its debt is measured. On a capital-only basis, the NAV stands at 1,428.96p with debt at par value, rising to 1,484.26p when debt is measured at fair value — a gap of roughly 55p Yahoo Finance UK.
Including current year income widens both figures: 1,444.42p at par and 1,499.72p at fair value. That ~55p difference between par and fair value reflects how the trust's fixed-rate borrowings look under today's interest rates. Institutional investors tend to favor the fair-value figure as the most realistic measure of the trust's total worth BlackRock RNS.
BlackRock Latin American Investment Trust PLC listed its capital-only NAV at 587.09 US cents, or 443.73p in sterling. Including current year income, the figure rises to 593.75 US cents, or 448.76p Yahoo Finance UK.
Publishing in both currencies matters because the trust holds assets priced in dollars while most of its UK shareholders think in pounds. A significant gap between the trust's share price and its 443.73p NAV could trigger a share buyback by the board to narrow the discount BlackRock RNS.
BlackRock Income and Growth Investment Trust PLC flagged one exception to its standard bid-price method. Its holding in Patisserie Valerie has been "written down to nil following confirmation the company has gone into administration" BlackRock RNS. The bakery chain collapsed in January 2019 after a major fraud scandal.
Seven years on, the entry remains in the trust's disclosures. Analysts say this is standard practice: the zero-value holding stays on the books until the company's legal liquidation is fully complete. The trust's capital-only NAV stands at 244.87p, rising to 249.91p with current year income included Yahoo Finance UK.
BlackRock Frontiers Investment Trust PLC reported a capital-only NAV of 247.00 US cents, or 186.68p in sterling. Including income, that rises to 253.12 cents or 191.31p. Like the Latin American trust, the dual-currency reporting highlights sensitivity to both emerging market growth and currency swings BlackRock RNS.
BlackRock American Income Trust PLC also published figures under the same bid-price framework. For all five trusts, daily NAV data and the ten largest holdings can be found at BLRKINDEX on Reuters or page 8800 on ICB, according to an operational note attached to the Smaller Companies release Yahoo Finance UK.
