Youthful Chatham Maroons Squad Sets Sights On Sutherland Cup Championship

The Chatham Maroons are aiming for their second Greater Ontario Hockey League championship in three years with a young squad, consisting of over a dozen 16- and 17-year-olds. The Maroons' home opener is against the Komoka Kings at Chatham Memorial Arena. Only five players, including forwards Dylan Richter, Aidan Edwards, Xandre Aitken and Santiago Jimenes, and defenceman Boris Genov, return from last season. Head coach Brennan Feasey and assistant coaches Steven Szekesy and Kaden Babcock have been teaching these young players the way of junior hockey. The defence corps has five 17-18-year olds, while forwards include 17-time rookies Andrew Baker, Hayden Boileau, Mason Vieau, Grady Dale, Wyatt Ferguson and Nathan Cloutier.
