NFL Legend Emmitt Smith Sued by Investor Over Misappropriated Wind Farm Loan

NFL career rushing leader, Emmitt Smith, is being sued by Native American investment company, Kituwah LLC, alleging that Smith and his business partners misappropriated a $2.5 million loan that was intended to fund a wind farm project in Texas. KituWah alleges that the loan was used to repay an investor from Smith's company, 4 13 Solutions, who had previous dealings with Smith. The lawsuit alleges that Smith, his longtime business partner, David Mosley, misrepresented their efforts to secure a U.S. Department of Energy loan that would have triggered repayment to Kituewah. Kitwah aims to invest in business opportunities for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. The loan has accumulated about $600,000 in interest and is seeking damages.
