TSA Now Allows PreCheck Members Without Flights to Access Airport Gates

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has introduced a new program, Gateside by TSA PreCheck, which allows members of the background check program to pass through security without a flight. This change comes after more than two decades of restrictions on individuals without tickets. The program will be available at 13 airports initially, with more airports expected to join the Gateway program in the future. PreCheck members can use their known traveler number (KTN) to use the security lanes to meet a person at a gate, shop at airport stores, or have a meal at an airport restaurant. However, applicants must apply for the perk 1 to 3 days before a planned visit.
