The Giants entered the game leading 3-2, but the Cardinals' Joshua Báez and Thomas Saggese led off with back-to-back singles. Despite this, the Cardinals advanced the tying run to third base when Bryan Torres drew a walk. Brett Eldridge made a game-tying single to secure a win for the Giants. Logan Webb ended up with a no-decision after six innings of one-run ball, with eight strikeouts to two walks.
