Gibbs Wealth Management Significantly Expands Holdings in Wells Fargo, JAAA, and JBBB Amid Broader Institutional Interest.

Allianz SE opened a new position in Janus Henderson AAA CLO ETF (JAAA) in the fourth quarter, with an estimated value of about $1.333 billion.
Barings LLC increased its JAAA stake by 115.2% in the first quarter, bringing the holding to 12,909,176 shares valued at roughly $650.2 million.
Focus Partners Wealth raised its JAAA position by 25,009.5% in the fourth quarter, now owning 8,228,884 shares valued at about $416.2 million.
Darwin Wealth Management LLC opened a new stake in Janus Henderson B-BBB CLO ETF (JBBB) in the second quarter, valued at about $33,000.
Wells Fargo & Company MN increased its stake in JBBB by 1,356.0% during the fourth quarter, to 2,184 shares valued at about $104,000.
Gibbs Wealth Management made big moves in the first quarter, boosting its Wells Fargo stake by 74.8% to 31,592 shares worth about $2.5 million, according to Watchlist News. The firm also poured more money into Collateralized Loan Obligation ETFs — investment funds that hold bundles of corporate loans — sharply raising its bets on two Janus Henderson products.
The firm grew its position in the Janus Henderson AAA CLO ETF (JAAA) by 96.5%, reaching 73,461 shares valued at roughly $3.7 million. Its stake in the Janus Henderson B-BBB CLO ETF (JBBB) rose 58.8% to 53,036 shares, worth about $2.5 million. The moves signal a clear strategy: overweight CLO ETFs while keeping a foothold in big bank stocks.
CLO ETFs let investors buy into pools of corporate loans without picking individual bonds. JAAA holds the safest slice of those loans — rated AAA — while JBBB holds riskier, lower-rated pieces. Gibbs nearly doubled its JAAA position and grew JBBB by more than half, suggesting confidence in both ends of the CLO credit spectrum, according to Watchlist News.
The Wells Fargo purchase adds another layer. Gibbs now holds 31,592 shares of the bank, up from roughly 18,072 at the end of last year. Together, the three positions show a firm leaning into financial sector exposure — both through direct bank stock and loan-backed funds.
Gibbs is not alone. Allianz SE opened a brand-new position in JAAA in the fourth quarter — worth an estimated $1.333 billion. That is one of the largest single new stakes recorded in the ETF. Barings LLC added even more aggressively, raising its JAAA holding by 115.2% in the first quarter to 12,909,176 shares valued at about $650.2 million, according to Watchlist News.
Focus Partners Wealth took the most dramatic leap of all. It grew its JAAA position by 25,009.5% in the fourth quarter, landing at 8,228,884 shares worth roughly $416.2 million. Numbers that large suggest institutions are treating JAAA less like a niche trade and more like a core holding.
The riskier JBBB fund is also attracting fresh attention. Darwin Wealth Management LLC opened a brand-new stake in JBBB in the second quarter, valued at about $33,000 — a small but telling signal of broadening interest. Even Wells Fargo & Company MN made a move, raising its JBBB position by 1,356.0% in the fourth quarter to 2,184 shares worth about $104,000, per Watchlist News.
The spread of buyers — from tiny registered investment advisors to trillion-dollar asset managers — points to growing comfort with CLO ETFs across the industry. Higher yields on lower-rated loan bundles like JBBB are pulling in investors willing to take on a bit more risk for better returns.
CLOs are not the only trade Gibbs made this quarter. The firm raised its stake in Barrick Mining Corporation by 107.0%, now holding 36,799 shares of the gold and copper producer, according to Watchlist News. It also grew its position in PJT Partners — a financial advisory firm — by 90.4%, bringing that holding to 9,177 shares.
The pattern across all these trades is consistent. Gibbs is adding broadly to its portfolio — financials, commodities, and credit products alike. The CLO ETF bets are the biggest in dollar terms, but the firm appears to be building diversified exposure rather than making a single concentrated call.
