Stuck was not unknown to police. At the time of the kidnapping, he was already out on bond for a Collier County fraud case involving more than $100,000 and dozens of alleged victims WCVB. In December 2021, Stuck was arrested in Ellicott City, Maryland, for placing a fake bomb outside a jewelry store with a note demanding cash and jewelry WGAL. Legal analysts are now questioning why a suspect with that history was out on bond at all WAPT. His arraignment in Collier County is scheduled for June 29, 2026.
