Embla Medical Q2 Growth Strong in Key Segments, Narrows Guidance Amid Strategic Initiatives

Gross margin reached 63% in Q2, aided by a net $3 million tariff refund contributing about 1 percentage point; excluding the tariff refund, gross margin would be around 62%.
Embla Medical was named to the Forbes Accessibility 200 list for 2026, continuing its recognition in accessibility initiatives.
The company completed its existing share buyback program in July and has launched a new $10 million share buyback.
Guidance for 2026 was narrowed to 5-7% organic growth for the year.
EMEA region posted double-digit gains in Prosthetics & Neuro Orthotics during the quarter.
Embla Medical posted strong second-quarter 2026 results, driven by double-digit growth in its Prosthetics & Neuro Orthotics segment. Organic growth came in at 6%, with total local-currency growth reaching 11%, according to TradingView.
The company's gross margin hit 63% in Q2, helped by a $3 million tariff refund worth about 1 percentage point. EBITDA margin reached 22%, and net profit rose sharply year over year. Full-year guidance was narrowed to 5–7% organic growth, TradingView reported.
Prosthetics & Neuro Orthotics was the clear engine of Q2 growth. The segment posted double-digit gains, with the EMEA region leading the way, according to TradingView. APAC also showed strong progress. These results pushed overall profitability higher across the business.
Embla also launched six new products across Prosthetics, Neuro Orthotics, and Bracing & Supports during the quarter. The company completed its ForMotion brand rollout across clinics — a key step in its patient-care transformation strategy, TradingView noted.
Not all segments performed equally. The Patient Care division faced headwinds, particularly in Europe. TradingView reported that weak Patient Care results in EMEA weighed on overall numbers and contributed to a more cautious full-year outlook.
Americas and APAC showed improvement in Patient Care, offering some offset. But Europe's struggles were enough to push management to narrow guidance. The company now targets 5–7% organic growth for all of 2026, tightening the range from its earlier forecast.
A $3 million tariff refund gave gross margin a one-time lift of roughly 1 percentage point in Q2. Stripping that out, gross margin would have sat near 62%. The refund helped push EBITDA to 22% for the quarter, TradingView reported.
On the capital side, Embla completed its previous share buyback program in July. It then launched a fresh $10 million buyback. Management also pointed to strong free cash flow as a key pillar of its capital allocation strategy going forward.
Embla Medical earned a spot on the Forbes Accessibility 200 list for 2026. The recognition highlights the company's ongoing work in accessibility and patient-focused care. It adds to a string of milestones the company has collected around its core mission.
Looking ahead, Embla said it plans to keep investing in R&D and sustainability. The company also flagged expansion in emerging markets as a growth priority. Management framed these moves as central to its long-term strategy, even as it manages near-term segment challenges, TradingView reported.
