Rafael Devers, the first baseman/designated hitter and designated hitter for the San Francisco Giants, may undergo surgery for a core muscle injury. The team's season ended after Devers was placed on the 60-day injured list, ending his season. He leads the team with 37 home runs and 98 RBIs. Devers is set to meet with Dr. William Meyers to discuss the procedure if recommended. If successful, Devers would have the operation on Tuesday.
