Tim Hortons Camp Day Returns July 15, Donating All Coffee Proceeds to Youth Camps

Tim Hortons is bringing back Camp Day on July 15, and every hot and iced coffee sold that day will send 100% of its proceeds to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. Montreal Gazette reports the event runs at Tim Hortons locations across Canada and the United States.
This year's Camp Day has already raised over $13 million for the Foundation in 2025. Since 1991, the annual event has raised more than $275 million in total — funding camps that help underserved youth build life skills and confidence.
The very first Camp Day happened in 1987 — not as a national campaign, but as a local idea. According to The Sudbury Star, 58 restaurant owners in Atlantic Canada decided to donate 24 hours of sales. Their goal was simple: build the Tim Horton Children's Camp in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia.
That single-day effort grew into one of Canada's biggest annual fundraisers. The Foundation officially began tracking Camp Day proceeds in 1991. In the decades since, it has grown from a regional act of generosity into a cross-border event at thousands of locations.
Tim Hortons Foundation Camps is a non-profit that sends kids from low-income families to camp — for free. Cochrane Times Post reports the Foundation has supported nearly 350,000 underprivileged youth throughout its history.
The program is not just about one summer. It uses a multi-year development model to build skills over time. Kids who attend learn confidence, resiliency, and other tools they carry into adult life. The camps run across Canada and into the United States.
Drinking a coffee is the easiest way to give on July 15. But Canadian guests can do more. Montreal Gazette notes that customers can buy a Donation Badge for $2 or a Camp Day bracelet for $3. One hundred percent of those sales also go directly to the Foundation.
The add-ons give people a way to give a little extra without much effort. With millions of Canadians and Americans visiting Tim Hortons each day, even small purchases add up fast. Last year's total helped push the all-time fundraising figure past the $275 million mark.
