Celero Communications secures $275 million in Series C funding to accelerate AI infrastructure development.

Celero Communications, a maker of advanced chip technology for AI data centers, raised $275 million in Series C funding, Recorder. The funding values the company at over $3 billion and brings total capital raised to $415 million. The money will fuel product development and manufacturing as global demand for faster, power-efficient data center connections explodes.
The company also announced validation of the industry's first 2nm coherent DSP silicon — a breakthrough that enables 1.6 trillion-bit solutions for next-generation AI optical networks. The Whig reported that data centers are projected to need nearly $7 trillion in investment by 2030, with approximately $5.2 trillion dedicated to AI workloads alone.
Celero's Series C round was led by Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners, and CapitalG, Owen Sound Sun Times. Existing investors like Sutter Hill Ventures and Maverick Silicon also participated. The funding accelerates Celero's product roadmap as artificial intelligence workloads push data centers to their limits. Higher-bandwidth, lower-power optical connections are now critical infrastructure needs.
Celero validated the industry's first 2nm coherent digital signal processor silicon, Calgary Sun reported. This 2nm chip enables 1.6 trillion-bit connections and paves the way for 3.2 trillion-bit AI optical interconnects. The technology represents a major step forward in squeezing more data through fiber optic cables while using less power — a critical requirement as AI adoption accelerates.
