Mañueco Appoints New Castilla y León Government, Three Vox Members Included
Alfonso Fernández Mañueco presented his 12-member cabinet for Castilla y León on June 13, 2026, sealing the region's second PP-Vox coalition government. The new executive includes five new faces, three of them from Vox, which secured the First Vice-Presidency and control of Culture, Agriculture, and Family policy 20Minutos.
The announcement came 86 days after the March 15 regional elections, in which the PP won 33 seats and Vox took 14 Vozpopuli. Mañueco called his team "prepared, with criteria, talent, and work capacity" Tribuna de Valladolid.
Vox Claims Three Key Departments in New Coalition

A 62-Page Pact with a Sharp Ideological Edge
The 2026 coalition agreement runs to 62 pages and 324 specific measures — far more detailed than the vague 4-page deal struck in 2022 El Diario. Key policies include income tax cuts, lower inheritance taxes, and a "National Priority" rule that would require 10 years of residency to access social housing Servimedia.

Opposition and Unions Warn of Democratic Backsliding
