Petro-Victory Energy Doubles Oil Output, Significantly Boosts Gas, Cuts Costs at Capixaba Energia

Petro-Victory Energy Corp. (TSX-V: VRY) has more than doubled oil production at its Capixaba Energia asset in its first year of ownership, while also cutting production costs by 37% and generating R$17 million in free cash flow, according to Financial Post and Calgary Herald.
The Canadian energy company, working alongside partner Blue Oak, also grew gas production by 128% and boosted gas volumes by 471% over the same period. The results mark a sharp turnaround for the Brazilian oil and gas asset.
Petro-Victory and Blue Oak launched a broad program at Capixaba Energia focused on squeezing more output from existing wells. The effort paid off fast. Oil production more than doubled, while gas output surged 471%, according to Montreal Gazette.
At the same time, the company slashed production costs by 37%. That combination — more output at lower cost — is rare in the oil patch and signals strong operational execution in year one.
A key driver of the gains was the company's workover campaign — a process of fixing and restoring existing wells to boost output. The campaign achieved 98.7% operational efficiency, according to Stratford Beacon Herald.
Workers logged only 35 hours of non-productive time across the entire program. There were zero accidents. That safety and efficiency record is notable for an intensive field operation in Brazil's oil sector.
Capixaba Energia generated R$17 million in free cash flow from operations during the first year. Petro-Victory chose to plow all of it back into the business rather than return it to shareholders, according to Financial Post.
The reinvestment strategy reflects confidence in continued growth. The company is betting that capital deployed now into reservoir development and infrastructure will drive further production gains in year two and beyond.
Beyond workovers, Petro-Victory and Blue Oak invested in production optimization, reservoir development, and infrastructure upgrades across Capixaba Energia's full asset base, according to Leader Post. The multi-pronged approach targeted every link in the production chain.
The results position Petro-Victory as a credible operator in Brazil's onshore energy sector. For a small-cap company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, delivering this level of operational improvement in a single year is a meaningful milestone.
