Roots Corporation Schedules Fiscal 2026 First Quarter Results Conference Call for June 12

Roots Corporation will hold a conference call on June 12, 2026, to discuss its Fiscal 2026 first-quarter results. CEO Meghan Roach and CFO Leon Wu will lead the call, starting at 8:00 a.m. ET, according to Calgary Sun.
The call comes at a pivotal moment for the Canadian lifestyle brand. Roots is in the middle of a formal Strategic Review — launched in March 2026 — that could result in a sale of the company. J.P. Morgan Securities Canada is advising on the process. Analysts say the June 12 call is as much about deal news as it is about quarterly numbers.
Roots wrapped Fiscal 2025 with revenue of $277.7 million, up 5.6% year-over-year. Gross margins hit a company record of 61.3%. Net income returned to positive territory at $4.7 million after years of losses. Net debt fell 42% to just $4.3 million, giving Roots a leverage ratio below 0.2x.
CEO Meghan Roach credited a deliberate push away from discounting. In 2019, roughly 60% of customers bought items on sale. By late 2025, over 70% of transactions were at full price. "Fiscal 2025 was a year of meaningful progress," Roach said. "Our results reflect the cumulative impact of a consistent and focused strategy — strengthening our core product offering and elevating the brand."
Roots' board kicked off its Strategic Review on March 3, 2026, saying it wants to "maximize shareholder value." The company hired J.P. Morgan to run the process. Analyst Brian Morrison of TD Cowen has called a sale highly likely, citing Roots' ability to generate strong free cash flow as a draw for buyers.
Roots stock climbed 4.25% in early June on reports of "strong interest" from potential acquirers. Shares now trade near $4.42 CAD, close to the consensus analyst target of $4.34 to $4.46. Analysts compare Roots' situation to Arc'teryx, the Canadian outdoor brand acquired by Amer Sports, as a model for what a global buyer might do with the Roots name.
Optimists argue Roots is an under-priced asset. Deanna Andersen of WADE Advisory has called it an "under-monetized" brand — one that operates as a mid-sized Canadian retailer when its name recognition could support a much bigger global business. Roots runs more than 100 partner-operated stores across Asia, including a storefront on China's Tmall.com.
Skeptics push back. Critics point to Roots' heavy dependence on Canadian sales and a weak U.S. and digital presence. They note rival Aritzia grew revenue 43% in the same period. Q1 2026 consensus earnings per share sits at -$0.17, a reflection of how seasonally slow the first quarter typically is for apparel brands.
Roots will issue its Q1 2026 financial press release at 7:00 a.m. ET on June 12. The conference call follows at 8:00 a.m. ET. Investors can dial in at 1-365-657-4084 or toll-free at 1-833-461-5787, using conference ID 267352366. A live webcast will also be available at investors.roots.com.
Analysts say questions will likely focus on two things: the logistics transition to Metro Supply Chain, which is set for full rollout by mid-2026, and any update on the Strategic Review. CFO Leon Wu said recent momentum allowed for a "meaningful reduction to net debt," setting up the brand for long-term shareholder value.
