DJI Hosts Panel on Cinematic Language at the Venice International Film Festival

DJI, the global leader in civilian drones and creative camera technology, hosted the Filmmakers & Visionaries Session at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. The session, which included emerging directors and cinematographers, explored the question: When a cinema camera fits into the palm of your hand, how does the language of film itself change? The session was structured as a genuine industry dialogue, rooted entirely in filmmaking practice rather than product demonstration. Four short films were screened by emerging cinematographer Gabriele Mencaroni and Alessandro Tempestini, Liu Yadi, and Zhou Chengzhou, reflecting a generation operating across traditional creative boundaries. The discussion also included a roundtable discussion about how compact, gimbal-stabilized tools can reshape the relationship between the camera, the performer, and the environment.
