Rio2 Files NI 43-101 Technical Report for Yukon's Kalzas Tungsten Project, Confirming Potential

Rio2 Limited has filed an independent NI 43-101 Technical Report for the Kalzas Tungsten Project in Yukon, Canada, marking a formal step in validating the project's historical data and geological potential, according to Leader Post. The report covers eight quartz mineral claims totalling roughly 155 hectares in Canada's Yukon Territory.
The Technical Report was independently prepared by Tatiana Alva Jimenez, M.Sc., P.Geo., of RUMI Geoscience Consulting, according to The Whig. It is now available on Rio2's website and on the SEDAR+ public filing platform.
The Kalzas Project sits within the Selkirk First Nation Settlement Land Block SFN-R-16A in Yukon Territory, according to Montreal Gazette. It consists of eight quartz mineral claims covering about 155 hectares. Tungsten is a rare, hard metal used in industrial tools, electronics, and defense applications.
Reaching the site is remote. According to Pincher Creek Echo, access requires traveling from Whitehorse to Mayo via the Klondike Highway, then north along the Silver Trail Highway. From Mayo, a 30-minute helicopter flight brings crews to the project site.
An NI 43-101 report is a standardized technical document required by Canadian securities regulators. It provides an independent review of a mineral project's geology, data quality, and resource potential. Filing one gives a project credibility with investors and regulators alike.
The report was prepared in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 standards, according to Goderich Signal Star. Independent geoscientist Tatiana Alva Jimenez carried out the work through her firm, RUMI Geoscience Consulting, ensuring the findings are not influenced by Rio2's own interests.
The Technical Report focuses on supporting historical data and the geology of the Kalzas site, according to Ontario Farmer. While no new resource estimate was announced, validating past data is a key early step before planning future exploration drilling or development work.
Tungsten projects in Yukon have drawn growing attention as Western nations look to secure supplies of critical minerals outside of China, which dominates global tungsten production. Formalizing the Kalzas Project's technical foundation positions Rio2 to pursue next steps in exploration.
Rio2 has made the full Technical Report publicly available in two places, according to Fairview Post. It can be accessed directly on the company's website at rio2.com or through Canada's official public filing system, SEDAR+, at sedarplus.ca.
