Danny Jordaan Reelected to Lead South African Soccer Federation Amid Fraud Charges

Danny Jordaan, the head organizer of the 2010 World Cup, has been reelected president of South Africa's soccer federation (SAFA) despite facing criminal charges over alleged fraud. He beat challenger Sandile Zungu by 157 votes to 82. Jordaan has been head of SAFA since 2013 and will serve a fourth term. He was also accused of using SAFA money to hire personal security and a PR company to enhance his public image after the Ferguson rape allegations. The fraud case is yet to go to trial and some voting officials have received death threats and intimidation.
