Premier League referees admit error of judgment following Erling Haaland's goal.

The governing body of Premier League referees, Pro Ref, has admitted an "error of judgment" after Erling Haaland's winning goal against Manchester United in the 199th Manchester derby. The goal was initially ruled out for offside, but after VAR review, the decision was overturned. United's players were incensed because City midfielder Enzo Fernandez was in an offside position during the buildup. The refereeing body, Proref, acknowledged that the VAR did not recognize the impact of Fernandez's position and should have recommended an onfield review. Despite this, United fell to a second defeat of the season after four games.
