Phoenix Manufacturing Completes SLCP Verification Amid Growing Demand for Ethical Sourcing Proof

Phoenix Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has completed Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) verification for its Thailand facility in Samut Prakan, according to Financial Post. The verification was conducted by accredited bodies including Intertek Thailand and is now accessible through the Fair Factories Clearinghouse, now part of Worldly.
The move reflects growing demand from brands for proof of ethical sourcing. According to SLCP data, 53% of suppliers whose buyers accepted SLCPs reported audit cost savings. Another 65.9% saw decreased staff time spent on auditing, Recorder reported.
The SLCP is a standardized audit framework that streamlines labor and social compliance checks. Instead of facing multiple audits from different buyers, suppliers complete one shared assessment. Brands and retailers can then review the same verified data through a central platform.
Phoenix Manufacturing uses SLCP alongside other standards: RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council) and SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange). This multi-standard approach gives brands verified information about manufacturing practices in one place.
Suppliers benefit from adopting SLCP verification. Audit costs drop significantly when multiple buyers accept the same assessment instead of demanding separate audits. Labor and compliance teams spend less time preparing documentation and hosting repeated verification visits.
The data proves it works: 53% of SLCP-verified suppliers saw audit cost reductions. Beyond money, 65.9% reported staff freed up from auditing duties—time they can redirect to improving actual working conditions and labor practices.
Phoenix Manufacturing goes beyond labor audits. The company conducts third-party metal and gemstone testing to verify purity and safety. This protects both brands and consumers by confirming product quality at an independent lab level.
The company also maintains detailed product documentation showing compliance across all standards. This means brands can quickly show customers their supply chain is ethical and verified. As demand for transparent sourcing grows, this documentation becomes a competitive advantage.
