Lightning Threat Delays Kickoff for Auburn and Southern Miss Home Opener

Auburn's home opener against Southern Miss will not start on time due to lightning detected near Jordan-Hare Stadium. The pregame clock was paused at 28 minutes and both teams left the field during warmups. A new start time was not immediately announced. Both teams enter the game with a 1-0 record.
