Cirsa y Lottomatica acuerdan su fusión para crear un gigante del juego

Spain's Cirsa and Italy's Lottomatica have agreed to merge and create a global gaming powerhouse, El Periódico Mediterráneo reported. The Catalan company will be absorbed by the Italian group, with Cirsa's current shareholders keeping about 32.5% of the combined entity's ownership stake.
Cirsa, one of Spain's largest gaming and lottery operators, will become part of the Italian Lottomatica group under the deal. Diario de Córdoba confirmed that current Cirsa shareholders will hold roughly one-third of the new company's equity. The merger combines two major players across Europe's gaming markets.
The combined entity will operate across multiple European markets and gaming segments. Diario de Ibiza noted the fusion creates a worldwide gaming giant. The deal positions the merged company to compete at scale in lottery, betting, and gaming operations across Europe and beyond.
Cirsa shareholders will own approximately 32.5% of the new combined company, Información reported. Lottomatica's existing shareholders will hold the remaining majority stake. This ownership split reflects the relative size and value of both companies coming into the deal.
The merger reflects growing consolidation in the European gaming sector. Levante-EMV highlighted the deal as a major industry milestone. By combining resources, expertise, and geographic reach, the new entity aims to strengthen its position against other global gaming operators and adapt to changing market conditions.
