GoldHaven Resources Advances Maiden Diamond Drill Program at British Columbia Magno Project

GoldHaven Resources Corp. has started drilling at its Magno Project in northern British Columbia, hunting for tungsten in an area mined decades ago. The company began diamond drilling in late August at the historic Kuhn tungsten system and has completed over 800 metres across four drill holes so far, The Whig reported. Early results show broad bands of altered rock and metal-bearing minerals in the top 100 metres, including a roughly 20-metre stretch of skarn — a type of rock that often contains valuable metals.
The Magno Project covers 100% of land owned by GoldHaven in a region with known tungsten deposits. The Kuhn tungsten system was identified and mined historically, but no modern drilling data existed until now. The Observer noted the initial drilling phase aims to map out the shape and spread of tungsten-bearing skarn deposits. The company is blending old geological records with new information from underground drill samples and geophysical surveys to guide where to drill next.
Drilling in the first four holes revealed mineral-rich rock right near the surface, within the top 100 metres of ground. The second drill hole struck an especially thick zone — roughly 20 metres of skarn alteration packed with sulphide minerals that often carry tungsten and other metals, Northern News reported. These wide bands of altered, mineralized rock suggest the deposit may be large enough to justify further testing and investment.
GoldHaven is not drilling blindly. The company is using historical drilling records, surface geology observations, and modern geophysical tools — like ground surveys that detect buried metal — to pick the best spots to drill. The Stratford Beacon Herald explained this layered approach helps the company test whether the tungsten system extends deeper or sideways beyond what was known before. This integrated method saves money by targeting the most promising zones rather than drilling randomly across the property.
