Jon Small, Legendary Rock Musician and Acclaimed Music Video Director, Dies at 79

Jon Small, a rock icon known for his collaboration with Billy Joel and his work as a director and producer, has died in his late 70s. The news of his death was first shared by his friend Gigi Shapiro on Facebook. Small was also known for working with Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Run DMC, Luke Combs, Blake Shelton, the Beach Boys, and Aerosmith on their music videos. He also worked on TV specials and concert films. The Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame was saddened to learn of Small's passing.
