Saskatoon Hilltops Secure First Home Win Against Calgary Colts With 36-26 Score

The Saskatoon Hilltops won their first home game of the season with a 36-26 victory over the Calgary Colts in Prairie Football Conference play Cold Lake Sun. The win at SMF Field came after the team dropped their opening game to the Edmonton Wildcats 28-22 the week before.
On the soccer side, the University of Saskatchewan women's team defeated Mount Royal 2-1 and the men's team beat Calgary 1-0 in preseason games The Observer. Both programs begin Canada West regular season play in early September.
Saskatoon's next opponent is the Edmonton Wildcats, the team that beat them 28-22 in week one Sault Star. The Hilltops will then face the Regina Thunder on September 26 in another away game Cochrane Times Post.
The University of Saskatchewan women's soccer team topped Mount Royal Cougars 2-1 in their preseason test Northern News. The men's team posted an even more dominant result, shutting out the Calgary Dinos 1-0 in their preseason matchup.
The women's and men's teams will shift their focus to Canada West conference play when the regular season begins the first week of September Mitchell Advocate. The preseason wins give both programs momentum heading into conference play.
