Trinity Rodman makes whirlwind trip from her game to support Ben Shelton at U.S. Open

Trinity Rodman, a 24-year-old U.S. women's national team star, attended the U.K. Open singles final to support her boyfriend, Ben Shelton, who became the first Black American man to reach the U.-S. Open in 1972. Rodman made the nearly impossible journey to Queens, N.Y. after her game, which ended 3 hours after the final whistle of the Washington Spirit’s 3-0 loss to Boston Legacy. The pair have been publicly supporting each other throughout their busy schedules since their relationship last year.
