American Fitness Influencer Connor Murphy Drowns in Thailand After Exhibiting Erratic Behavior

Murphy reportedly left the lakeside property in a hired vehicle, then tried to pay a driver 1,000 baht, before approaching another resident’s car for a ride, shouting and behaving agitatedly prior to entering the lake.
The luxury lakeside home Murphy rented—valued at about 22 million baht and rented for 35,000 baht per month—had been occupied by him and his girlfriend for roughly three months and was found badly vandalised, with black and yellow paint splashed on furniture, decorations and appliances.
Murphy’s girlfriend, identified as Bee and reported to be 22 years old, said the damage occurred overnight while she slept and that she had never seen him use drugs; Thai reports also note the couple had recently faced relationship difficulties but had reportedly reconciled.
Divers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation recovered Murphy’s body about 30 minutes after responders arrived, about 20 metres from shore in water deeper than 10 metres, and the body was taken to Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital for examination.
Investigators found two unused syringes in the front seat of Murphy’s vehicle and unidentified white pills in a waist bag, with autopsy and toxicology testing planned to determine the cause of death.
